A membrane is a very thin filter layer used in water purification systems. It filters out harmful substances in water - salts, bacteria, impurities and heavy metals - and allows only clean water to pass through.

The membrane, especially used in reverse osmosis (RO) systems, deeply purifies water and makes it drinkable. It has a high filtration capacity because it has very small pores.
